The EA4TX 2×2 Antenna Switch (AS2X2) is basically a coax switch featuring two inputs and two outputs. The device boasts more than 60 dB of port isolation (82 dB on 40M; 69 dB on 10M) and can be used in a number of different ways, including switching two radios and two antennas, an amplifier, a dummy load, and the list goes on.

When in an idle or default condition with no power, it connects Radio A to Antenna A and Radio B to Antenna B. A dummy load can be used on Antenna port B, as I have done at my station. The radios can then be switched to the input of an amplifier with the unused radio going to the dummy load. When the switch is powered up, the radio on input B becomes hooked to the amplifier or antenna, and the radio on input A goes safely to the dummy load.
The power can be supplied from the 13.8Vdc power supply running radio B so that when Radio B is powered up, the switch automatically switches to that radio. A small utility box with a simple switch can also be used to select radios as desired. Further, this switch can be used to switch PTT lines going to your amplifier. Switching of this type can also be used for the increasingly popular SO2R (single operator, two radios) contesting that requires instant switching.
The build quality of the 2X2 switch is excellent! It is built in an aluminum die-cast box with four SO-239 connectors, a black RCA jack for PTT switching, and a red RCA jack for power.
I have had one of these in use for more than two years, switching between two Yaesu transceivers and an ACOM amplifier with excellent results at a very reasonable price compared to similar products from other manufacturers.
