Radio Today Guides from the Radio Society of Great Britain
The DX Engineering catalog will once again feature a nice selection of paperback Radio Today Guides for specific transceivers (IC-705, IC-7300, FTdx101, et. al.), including new ones for the Yaesu FT-710 (208 pages) and Yaesu FT-991A (176 pages) by Andrew Barron, ZL3DW.
These guides go well beyond what is provided in the manufacturer user manuals. ZL3DW takes a deep dive into how to get the most out of these versatile transceivers, including hidden features you might miss, best practices for setting up your rig, using the array of controls, troubleshooting, and operating in various modes. You’ll receive comprehensive, practical, and easy-to-understand advice covering all aspects of these radios, which are both available at DXEngineering.com (FT-991A HF/UHF/VHF Multi-Mode Transceiver; FT-710 AESS HF/50 MHz Base/Portable Transceiver).
You’ll find a wide range of other RSGB reference books, from Building a Transceiver to Stealth Antennas, at DXEngineering.com.
