DX Engineering now offers Color-Coded Ferrite RF Noise Reduction Kits covering a wider range of uses. Kits contain toroids and snap-on beads for specific RF suppression applications (linear amplifiers, AM broadcast bands, HF broadcast stations, generators, etc.) or in packages for use in a variety of applications.

Kits feature 31, 43, 52, 61, 75 and 77 mixes of ferrite, a ceramic made from oxides of magnetic metals. DX Engineering has selected mixes designed to block and dissipate RF currents, a technique that is proven to suppress radio frequency interference (RFI). Each mix works best over a certain frequency range.
By color-coding our ferrite products, you can tell a toroid made from 31-mix from one made with 77-mix at a glance, taking the guesswork out of finding the right piece to place on your feedlines—no matter how mixed up your collection of toroids and beads becomes after years of tinkering in your shack.
Parts are color-coded as follows:
31-Mix, Blue – 1 MHz to 300 MHz
43-Mix, Silver – 25 MHz to 300 MHz
52-Mix, Orange – 200 MHz to 1 GHz
61-Mix, Red – 200 MHz to 2 GHz
75-Mix, Green – 150 KHz to 30 MHz
77-Mix, Pink – 100 KHz to 50 MHz
