DX Engineering announced the addition of seven new types of coaxial cables that Hams can choose when using the company’s Online Custom Cable Builder.
Available at DXEngineering.com, the Online Custom Cable Builder provides a convenient, step-by-step way for customers to select and order their cables by type, length, and specific connectors on both ends. This latest expansion brings the total of available cables to 14.

New Online Custom Cable Builder Options
- DX Engineering RG-214 Double Shielded 50-ohm Coaxial Cable: RG-214 is a tough yet flexible coax with 12-gauge silver-plated stranded copper center conductor, solid polyethylene dielectric, and two layers of silver-plated braided copper shields for exceptional RF isolation performance and superior power handling.
- Times Microwave LMR-400, LMR-400UF (UltraFlex), and LMR-400DB (Direct Bury):
- Times Microwave LMR-600, LMR-600UF (UltraFlex) and LMR-600DB (Direct Bury): LMR-400 and LMR-600 are UV-resistant, polyethylene-jacketed cables designed for 20-year service in outdoor use. LMR-400 (0.405 inch jacket O.D.) and LMR-600 (0.590 inch jacket O.D.) feature copper shield and multi-ply bonded foil outer conductor rated conservatively at greater than 90 dB.
